The shooting came as Tuskegee’s 100th Homecoming Week was winding down. Its football team has that Saturday played Fairfield-based HBCU Miles College. It is not clear yet what led to the shooting, which sent a large crowd scrambling and was captured on several videos posted on social media.

One person was killed and a dozen others were injured in a shooting on the last day of homecoming week at Alabama’s Tuskegee University early Sunday morning, according to the university and state authorities.
