Indian team, on Tuesday, was sent an early warning from the curator of the Optus Stadium pitch as a "fast and bouncy" pitch awaits the visitors in Perth for the Border-Gavaskar Test series opener against Australia on Sunday.

Perth pitch curator hopes to emulate the same surface as he did in the previous year's clash between Australia and Pakistan where the latter were bowled out for 89.

The wicket for the first Test at the Optus Stadium is a drop-in pitch that contains the same clay and grass species as the ones used at the WACA, which was widely regarded as one of the quickest and bounciest in the world back when it was the sole Test venue in Perth.
